Clergy
The Reverend Tim Kehoe
Incumbent
Ordained Priest in January 2018, Tim has been serving at St Thomas the Apostle since November of that year. Prior to coming to St Thomas’, Tim was Assistant Curate in the Area Parish of Renfrew-Pontiac.
As a layperson, he was involved in various aspects of church work – as a liturgical musician and composer, theology teacher, leader of retreats and meditation groups, warden, and chair of parish council and various church voluntary organizations.
Tim retired from the Federation of Canadian Municipalities in 2020, where he had served for 20 years as Director of FCM International and then Deputy CEO, providing senior leadership to FCM’s organizational development, strategic and corporate planning, governance, and domestic and international programming.
Prior to joining FCM, Tim worked for 17 years with the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada (RAIC) where he served, first, as Director of Research and Education and then, from 1993, as Executive Director. Other areas of work included Visiting Professor at St Paul University in the field of ethics; Partner in The Collaborative Work Group, an organizational consulting firm; Settlement Coordinator at Catholic Immigration Centre; and religion teacher at D’Arcy McGee secondary school in Hull.
Tim has chaired or served on several not-for-profit boards, including Catholic Immigration Centre; the Bronson Centre; St Luke’s Parish Council; and the leadership team of Contemplative Outreach of Eastern Ontario.
Tim has a Bachelor of Arts (English Lit.) from the University of Ottawa, a Bachelor of Theology from St Paul University, and an M.A. in Theology (Ethics), also from St Paul’s.
Tim is married to Susan, his best friend, inspiration and companion on the journey for over 40 years; the proud father of three amazing adult children – Sarah, Emma and Patrick – he’s also the adoring Papa of his little grandson Remy and granddaughter June. He loves playing guitar, reading, and being with his big extended Irish family. He has an abiding interest in Christian contemplative practice, Irish history, and the intersection of cultures, inspired by his travel to 40+ countries over the years.
Tim looks forward to the journey ahead, as together we write a new chapter in the life of St Thomas’ Parish and deepen our outreach and service to the broader community.
